Older and well paid are actually valid financial reasons if you want to reduce overhead which most certainly is the case. It's also why innovation has ceased at NetApp.
A certain demographic could very easily have a class action lawsuit against NetApp. There’s a particular demographic that gets laid off at the highest rate. Older and usually paid well too.

Obviously an overpaid lazy employee who thinks that 5 x 100 is 2500 is typical and representative of the companies performance.
Easy to say for someone that's not white, male, and a senior citizen and not a member of any of the "protected" or "entitled" classes.
