Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Drained and Disillusioned

Let’s be honest, quality of life is set to decline for most people. At first, the optimists will put a positive spin on it, and the novelty might even feel exciting for a short while. But that won’t last. As the long hours in traffic pile up and relationships start to crack under the pressure, the reality will set in. More stress, higher costs, and less freedom will take their toll, leaving people drained and disillusioned.

And aside from free coffee, IBM provides unlimited office paper and pencils for its employees. Paper clips, stapling / fastening components, folders, and yellow sticky pads are also available for a small fee.

Hey Dell malcontents...IBM told employees you got a year to move to Poughkeepsie NY or your gone. I heard they get free coffee though.

All this lamenting about dell is tiresome. Yes dell is a garbage company. Those who can do better will do better. There is no future with dell so stop mourning about it's perceived loss. Working there wont get better. It will get worse. It's the hallmark of a dying irrelevant company

Just quiet quit and wait for a new job or your ticket out.

I have never seen so much whining about actually having to do work for compensation. If you don’t want Dell’s pay, then leave

"odd how you 99% people wait for the severance"

So it's odd to wait until ypu either have a new lined up or are forced out? If new jobs grew on trees 99% of us would have left this cesspool long ago.

Sounds like the classic corporate gaslighting playbook, make employees feel like they should be grateful for being overworked and undervalued while ignoring the real issues. It’s wild how some companies still think forcing people into the office or pushing toxic work cultures is the key to productivity. Meanwhile, the ones that actually listen to their employees are doing just fine. It’s almost like treating people with respect leads to better results… who would’ve thought?

Sadly, that is the point.

Beatings will continue until morale improves, closely followed with. You should just be grateful to have a job and the next trolling statement well if you dont like it just quit. Then a few smatterings of work owed you nothing and you're just lazy.

Cuz heaven FORBID we just don't want to be miserable at our place of work anymore.

Fun unrelated fact, HP didn't RTO.
