UK Redundancy Pay

Hi all,

Does anyone know what the UK redundancy package is please? I asked HR and they fobbed me off saying they don't need to let me know and it's discussed at a consultation.

A couple of years ago, UK was 4 weeks per year capped at a maximum of one years salary. So as an earlier post mentioned 12 years of service it works out the same. £30K is tax free, the rest is taxed. Ireland seems to get a better deal. Notice period varies depending on length of service.

Ireland was 6 weeks per year service and capped at a maximum of 2 years but you get sc--wed with it all taxed minus the statutory tax free piece.

A jar of marmite and a bottle of Lucozade per year of service.

It’s 4 weeks for every year, I believe capped at 12 years service. There’s a 30 day notice period in the UK as well.

Potential for a multiplier to be added that figure too.
