Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Complaining vs Action

Lots of complaining about Dell in here. I’ve been here and had a good amount of success.

Hard work has been my trick in addition to having some great managers.

I am wondering - if y’all have such a negative outlook and hate it, why dont you all leave? No hate, genuinely curious

Stop whining and live your life, whatever that is.

Having to leave home and go to work? What is the world coming to? Quiet quitting and waiting to get laid off proves you’re useless and should be sh-t canned. Get to work and buy some shirts.

You’re on a layoff website, where anonymous posting is the format, complaining about negative posts? Are you really that stupid?

It's hard to see a place that used to be where folks were happy and productive go so far downhill in a relatively short time. I'm glad hard work has worked out for you here, it hasn't for me. I used to consistently be one of the top 3 performers on my team, and received small (1-2%) or no raises each year. 2 years ago i quiet quit and have got the highest raises I've seen in the last 15 years (7 and 10%). Also I've applied for about 30 other jobs in the last 6 months and received zero offers even close to what I am getting here.

Dell used to be a great place to work. Leadership changes and a few years ago, started going downhill. Constant layoffs of people who worked hard and genuinely cared for Dells bottom line as well as the customer. Quickly turned into a sh$$!show. More layoffs, more id--tic leadership directives, blatant favoritism (and a$$ kissing) brings us current. Job market is horrible now so people just stick it out. Not a lot of choices.

Not everyone has a great manager. I had an abusive manager that kept his job even when he was reported to HR.

Let's turn this around.
Why dont they offer a VSP and get out the bad seeds??? Right??
You know they wont cause there would be a stampede out the door.

I think most are working to get out.
One can point out dell is a garbage company while looking for an exit at the same time

Don’t you see, RTO is the call to action. Next week is the call to action. To quit is the cowards way out, you pegged gelding. .
