Been here since December 2011. It was wild being on the other side of the layoffs this time. We walked so many good folks out on that Tuesday. Wednesday morning at 8am, I got the call on my off-day! Being part of the security team it was hard. Went up after chow to get my stuff. I got to hug the ladies who have seen more than I have. We all got emotional. This was a divorce and I did not want. A couple years ago when there was the huge layoff/retirement, many of the HR employees who handled it got cut after they did their job. No one’s safe, even many of the officers are gone. Before long 2 floors for the execs and 1 for the workers
I wonder if overpaid consultants were kept? Is MM still paying McKinsey to do JJ’s kob?
Sorry to hear that. The security department was doomed the day they let WP go and handed the reigns to RPJ.
a lay off is always a gut wrenching emotional thing. Best of luck to you. I'm 4 years from retirement, and I'm glad each day my log in still works.
