Microsoft will consume all Citrix DaaS customers when their current subscriptions expire in 2-3 years.

Only 30% of NS was sold in front of VDI, and those were mostly using the GW. As more customers move to DaaS (assuming they stay with Citrix and not AVD), those Netscalers will keep shutting down.
The majority of NS is non-VDI. Those apps are also moving the cloud, but there is still a persistent bunch who runs their own cloud apps because of their scale, security, etc. That base is where NS is competing. That set of users will be there for a long time but its really a cash-cow business. The more likely case will be some whizbang team will come in and combine more of the features to ki-l NS... Watch for Opensource tools in this area.
