Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Let's not forget fired former Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun who is waiting in the wings hoping he gets the call up to be named the next Ford CEO

With Dave Calhoun onboard and steering the big old Ford ship to nowhere, don't be surprised to see how fast it takes Dave to put Ford up on the cinder blocks, once and for all, like you do with an old beater you can never drive again.

Are you a Kamala Harris supporter?

Mods keep deleting this for some reason.

I’ll keep adding it.

Model E organization is a joke. Promote that huckster and the company will be out of business in less than 5 years.
I’ve seen this before. My son started working for a very successful software company in the 1980s. Their software was installed on every large computer. They minted money as they had a critical well crafted and well supported product. Then the MBAs swooped in and convinced management that they needed to spin up a division to write the same software for PCs. A goldmine they said. The company founder was losing his mental acuity and decided to stop all development on the old product, and use all the maintenance dollars to spin up a new division to code the PC product. Within 5 years the company no longer existed. The PC product was a flop, no customers. The old product customers were unhappy as the service was cut, all the old software engineers jumped ship and wrote a competing product. Around year 3 the company tried to right the ship and reinvest in the old product but they were toast.

As has been said here before, Ford already has the ideal CEO on board in the leadership ranks. Model e was the stepping stone.

@nn.... Mullaly came from Boeing at a completely different time. He had the company riding high at that time. This guy headed the company when they had the 737 MAX fiasco and just had a handful of crashes.
"Just Sayin".

yeah, bring in a guy from a company that has a worse reputation than ours.... what could go wrong? He'd have us building flying autonomous EV cars that fall out of the sky.

I don't see anything over a LL4 being worth keeping around, broom them all out and start over.

The entire EVP level can go yesterday.
