Waters annual Review time

Yes ladies and Gentlemen, it's that time of year again! A complete waste of time. Management have admitted they are only allocated so many top grade performers and that they have to give at least one staff member on their team a lower bonus rating. An absolute joke of a system. Hard working employees are missing out on a well deserved pay increase all because of this id--tic system. Waters wake the he-l up. Talk about kicking a man while his down. If you think this system is designed to encourage and motivate employees, think again..

Top management coming down begging people to do over time, pleading with employees to push us over the line for the next three weeks. Management have a very short memory. Not to long ago were the reviews where they stabbed most of their employees in the back . Miss one day and have 2 GDP's for the year sorry you don't deserve the top pay grade. So the moral of the story is treat you're employees well and we in turn would be happy to help out with the overtime

Might out myself here since there is a huge hate toward management, but here we go. One of the reasons I left was because I fought so hard to give an employee SOMETHING. Busted my ar-e with HR and Carpou that even if an employee struggled, they should still get a decent increase. We dont pay our employees what they deserve and the economy su-ks. No one should get zero. I put in the merit option every single day to put in a %. When id come back, it was at 0 and the rating would go back down to the bottom. We couldn't win. I'd get calls at 9pm from Carpou saying I need to make employees developing or meets when they were excellent. I hung up on him 3 three times. He finally took the hint. My employees were fantastic and this company let's them down over and over again. I couldn't win the 0% raise and it ki-led me. To look someone in the eye, tell them they need to eat sh-t and there is nothing they can do is awful. Its wrong. It also took me 3 years to get someone within the desired ratio for their salary. They refused to do it right the first time with a position move. Milford thrives on having someone do a job without the title or proper pay. Awful culture.

Anyone else fed up with quarterly check-ins vs. APR nonsense? I get 'Excellent' and 'Role Model' ratings all year, then bam—'Proficient' on the annual review. Feels like a total disconnect. What’s the point of check-ins if they don’t match the final grade? Anyone dealt with this?

What targets?I don't even know mine,haven't changed since day one, not a hope in he-l of doing it any different.couldnt give a sh--e whether I get 0% or 10.

You have worked your a-s off on a project...did all the research, assimilated the material, produced the presentation...etc. Your superior reviews the information, gives you kudos on a job well done. At the final presentation, superior talks about how hard the research was...the time it took to put it together...blah...blah...blah....and does NOT mention your name or effort. Everyone assumes it was her works and she gladly takes 'Full Credit' for the project....a 'Credit Jumper'.....does not even bat an eyelash!
Jane is a stinking Credit Jumper! Didn't even mention her team at the presentation!

The crooked review. Where they don't give employees a clear objective to reach and instead make it up to suit friends of friends or relatives.

Absents is the big one this year. Out sick and it's certified ?. You bold bold boy. Don't show up and don't ring in ? No problem my friend.
