Those that were laid off on 2/6, has anyone found a job yet?

Was a Change Healthcare Legacy employee with Optum in Revenue Cycle Billing (Anesthesia) and riffed, last day 2/6/25. I found another job and have already started. I was a bit surprised that I did find another position that quickly because I've been applying for jobs for almost 2 yrs trying to get the heck out of the hellhole.
Yeah I did. Found better traction working with recruiters for roles they are trying to fill than going through the hiring process with companies. Feels like companies are still figuring out how to navigate this new world of automated resumes flooding their open reqs.
Think about taking contractor roles…if you do a stellar job, the employing company may convert you to a full time employee. Plus 6 months to a year of pay is better than no pay, and you also reduce or eliminate employment gaps on your resume
Interviews for 2 positions so far
I’ve had an interview at WF hiring. Hoping I get passed on for a final interview 🤞🤞🤞🤞🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
lol within a month in this economy!? Anyone who gets laid off better have their finances in order to survive the full 26 weeks of unemployment
Nope…I have applied to several places and have been ghosted or received the depressing email that they went with “more qualified candidates”.
Has anyone at least gotten an interview?

The healthcare economy has su-ked for more than 5 years now. The stock market is only where it's at because of 1 stock. ....be afraid.....be very afraid
Taco Bell is hiring but you need a 4 year degree with a masters in burrito technology. 8 references and currently in a chili sauce doctorate program. It pays 9 bucks/hr, but after about 15 years, as a manager, you can expect to make 12 or 12.13/hr. This is a step up from working at Optum.
