Qualcomm unveils quantum computing chip to keep pace with rivals Microsoft, Google and Amazon!!

wish to see that headline like that soon, that would bump up the stock a few bucks.. don't you all agree?

anyway, the real question is are we working on one?

every kid in the block announced one already, not us - masters of the modem and kings of silicon :-) oh, i'm sorry i forgot, we're too busy showcasing our pocket change 1 billion $$ revenue from automotive. or waiting on our talented QIPL engineers to further hon their skills and come-up the even better quantum chip.. :-)

The quantum computing chip is in 2 possible states: it is THERE or it is NOT THERE.
But when we measure for it and collapse the wavefunction, we always get NOT THERE.

"Quantum computing is still a joke. A quantum chip still can't add two numbers. These announcements are a way to increase the stock price, which is what happened to Google last year."

Bingo. It is all about spewing propaganda into the public to increase your share price.
It is getting tiresome.

Microsoft already tried that move with the biggest corporate bluff I have ever heard : created a totally new state of matter, controlled a subatomic particle which remains unobserved hitherto by labs across the world, and claims to scale it all to 1 million whereas competitors are struggling with a few tens of Qu bits.

Of course the market didn't crank MS stock by 1000% because this is information age and the internet was quick to call the BS of MS out on its comic-bookish claim. Thanks to all the experts who called it out because normally people have no clue about topoconductors and Majoran fermion.

What's my point? Satya is at least good at manufacturing BS and is quick to be a first mover there. CA doesn't even have the quality to be a good/quick bluff master. Notwithstanding that a real, million qu bit quantum chip is a far cry, even fabricating such a headline is a lost opportunity for Qualcomm.

If there was a competition for loses, CA would come second. Why not first? Because he is a loser at being the best loser too. A true loser for ages. Toast!
