Been here for 5 years now and this year management is pushing goal setting even more. For what?
None of my functions have changed whatsoever, why are we being asked to provide more detail for sh-t we already do?

Just like when they push our reviews and the Your Voice Survey. It's all a formality. I didn't spend much time on my goals. Hoping to be out of there in the next couple of months, at most. I should have submitted that as a personal goal.
I agree with the person who said goals don't matter. The people who do the least amount of work get the most benefits.
Going above and beyond earns you nothing. If you're lucky you get a pat on the back.
Bug Bashes is basically tailor built for the lowest performers. If their team allows cases to pile up they are more likely to get a Bug Bash. Then Bug Bashes prioritize how long you've worked and not how much work you got done.
They talk about efficiency, but all their focus on metrics has made it easier to skate by. Get good Sapience numbers and badge swipes and you are basically invisible to anyone who cares about those metrics.
It's like the know what the right decisions are to make and intentionally choose the opposite.
I've been here for about a decade, never once have I set any goals. my manager(s) never provided any.
It's because management is more and more detached from the products and processes that they own. Some of them genuinely don't understand the systems and couldn't explain anything except how to read a badge swipe report.
On one level, I can sympathize. So much organizational knowledge has been lost and everything now is just different silos unilaterally making changes without engaging others first or setting up any top down guidance. But, even though we can all agree that's a systemic organizational issue, no one has the courage to fight it. Or, really, the ones that do get moved to the front of the line for the next layoff.
It’s so when the goals aren’t met they don’t have to pay out bonus at 100% which they haven’t done in years at least what I’ve seen.
it doesn’t matter what goals you provide. most of us just get a meets expectations with zero regard for what was actually accomplished. they’ve taken away any incentive to try and go above and beyond
anyone who tries hard and is happy to go above and beyond (as i have always done in the past) is now wasting their time.
fiserv’s HR / review methodology actually dis-incentives us from going above and beyond.
never seen a company with such a terrible plan and approach.
The easier to lay you off lol
