Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

MA slept like a baby after “Reset” ramblings

His quote reported in the news. That’s nearly as bad as TH wishing he could just get his life back following the horrible loss of life at Macondo. While he sleeps soundly after that colossal failure of a “reset” the rest of us not sleeping like babies because we are worried about our jobs, our colleagues, the dismal loss of share value……can’t wait for him to ride off into the sunset and partner back up with BL

Shamefully insensitive. And jokes about who is and isn't CFO needing maths to answer on spinoffs and layoffs (20 billion vs 2 billion vs 0.4 billion) while 10k employees hang on every word to know their future - these people, they're the ones to keep?!

bP is here because of them, their decisions, their 'leadership' -- we get offshored, laid off, spun off, and they avoid every bit of blame and responsibility, acting aloof and cold, talking down to employees and analysts. They've had enough mulligans, why keep any of them? What good is stability if only for them, and we stably go down the drain?

broken promises.

Absolutely not an ounce of professionalism, duty of care or accountability from this lot. They are comfortably backed by ridiculous reward packages while the workforce has to pay for the consequences of their decisions.

This comment should be the opening line of all the exit interviews in the next few months!
You cannot make this stuff up.

He should be ashamed. He’s been part of this 4 year process of destroying value and destroying peoples lives through layoffs that now require unwinding because he, BL and the ELT simply got totally wrong. BP has always been known as the most arrogant operator and then this. Have some empathy. You sc--wed up, you destroyed people’s lives.

MA slept like a baby because he knows that if his sorry a*s gets kicked down the road, some other mug of a company will take him on. Completely insensitive remark.

Oh, I'm glad to hear that he slept well. What a totally insensitive remark to make in light of the layoffs.
