The goal should not be Nvidia that would be a pipe dream.

I like NVDA but their revenue growth rate is slowing, at a time when the stock is priced for it to continue.

So I'll continue to short it and the other mega cap techs, and if they drag INTC down in the process then I'll add more to that one.

Read a nice reminder today, to never buy a former rally just because it looks cheap. They were referring to cyclical stocks like semis, but the rule applies to all cases.

NVDA and the others which have benefited from passive investment and dividend reinvestment are all generally below their 50ma and that is where I generally draw the line at buying a 'dip', vs shorting a lower high.

Nvidia numbers and progress are both incredible and the company is still increasing expectations by a lot for 2025 and beyond. This is what Intel could have been with excellent management and leadership. Indeed, all of the other semiconductor companies are doing great. The semiconductor industry is on fire and has been for some years, and it looks like it is going to stay that way for years. When Intel breaks up at least nearly all employees will have great employment opportunities all over the place. GLTA.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/amazon-unveils-quantum-computing-chip-to-keep-pace-with-rivals-microsoft-google-110025057.html

Everyone is making high end chips now. It is going to be tough for Intel to compete on the design space. They have to go full speed into foundry. For example, I have not heard anything about intels quantum computing. The Microsoft’s, Apple, googles, Amazon have invested heavily in chip design over the years. Intel lost most of there top people to these companies and also ki-led their research arm Intel labs…..it is game over unless they hit it big with foundry imho.

Comparing Intel to Nvidia is hilarious.
In what delusional world are these two comparable?

Intel is just irrelevant. A rounding error.

ELT - get it through your thick skulls. Intel is not important. Intel is not a leader. Intel is just a smallish semiconductor firm struggling to be profitable (and falling badly). You have no more pull in the industry. In fact, you’re a laughing stock. Seriously, we joke about you all the time. You’re like the high school football star that is now fat bald and old still thinking he can play with the big boys. Sad!

naaah, looks more like very bad news for AMD.
all the billions flowing into new data centers being talked about in US - Intel will be riding high very soon.

mehh. It doesn't matter. NVIDIA has only 36,000 employees (Q1 2025) and can never sustain its business. Intel will eventually catch up.
