Heard there will be potential layoffs this week. Is this accurate or simply a rumor?

Never any details on here, your allowed to say you were ask to separate, just should not give out details of your severance package, especially if you have not gotten it yet.
HR will tell you not to talk to anyone, I said I worked with these people for decades, and you’re going to tell me who I can tell I lost my job?
I remember telling HR since I don’t work for you anymore, you can’t tell me who I can talk to or be friends with, it was really unreal.
Do tell if you were let go, no need to bottle itup.

@10f+1jn1y4746 This is what you missed...

"And so all the pressure is coming from the non-recurring both the hardware that we have talked about and then one-time revenue around services partially because we are exiting it on purpose. And then just with the hardware being down, the pressure from the install revenue.

So that's how we see that kind of playing out. And then when we think about costs, there is about $100 million of cost actions we are taking this year, 70% of that is around our vendors. We have been working a vendor program for the last four months or five months that involves in-sourcing key functions and just finding efficiencies with our vendors. And then the other 30% is related to our headcount, and that's mostly being actioned in the first quarter."

"And this is Jim. Just to add some color to that. So that is -- those actions now have a lot to do with exiting the one-time services that the company, I think became accustomed to over the years as opposed to teams of people supporting our existing customer base. I think that's, as I have said in my comments, that's clearly one of the differentiators for our company, 8,000 people, thousands of which are in the field supporting our customers.

And it's not feasible to support these large multinationals without a team with people on the ground in their locations, delivering service, whether it's delivering equipment or delivering solutions on software and implementations. And to the extent in the past, some of the services provided were more one-time in nature. As we are shifting away from a one-time business to a recurring business, that's where you are seeing these reductions come in. They didn't take place last year, largely because we had existing SOWs that were in place.

So it wasn't feasible. But as we start this year and reposition the company for a more recurring model, then there is obviously some consequences associated with that."

That's the meat of it. The full transcript of the call is here: https://www.fool.com/earnings/call-transcripts/2025/02/27/ncr-vyx-q4-2024-earnings-call-transcript/

I listened to both the Town Hall Meeting and Investors Conference call last week. I did not hear the CFO mention about cuts but maybe I missed it among all the financial talk he was giving. Will Voyix stock ever improve at this point? If they do let me go I’m ready just give me a call.

I’ve heard some will happen tomorrow (March 3rd) but only like 100 at Voyix

On the Voyix earnings call this morning, the CFO said 30% of $100 million in saving will come out of headcount reductions happening this quarter. Jim Kelly said those cuts will mostly come from field services. He said it would've happened last year, but could not because of customer SLAs.

So the big layoffs should arrive next month, and mostly in field services. Some execs are bound to get the axe, too.
