Stock price soaring. 10 billion returned to shareholders. Magnificent business growth. Employee morale is improving rapidly. No layoffs since he took over last spring. Collaboration is back with people no longer working maybe 4 hours a day from home (I'm being generous). Bad leaders jettisoned.
This guy is worth every 10 million we're paying him.

Umm….morale is gone.
BB is running this company from his phone on the golf course or one of his many yachts most days. Perhaps a monthly trip for a week to Maplewood to check on the kiss ups at 3M Center. He always checks the weather beforehand. No chance he was in town when it was 20 below recently.
What a job! Get about 20 million for a part time gig. Break up what's left of a broken down icon. Collect another 20 million. Voila!

Yes, in less than a year BB single handedly turned a dying company around. Gimme a break. This place is as rotten and hopeless as its ever been. Regardless of what you think of them, nearly every exec in 3M bailed and GTFO’d in the past 5 years. Innovation died years ago and it’s not coming back in any meaningful way. Too much was dismantled.
And all this work accomplished by BB while he is in Florida, probably spending his day on a high end golf course !
Troll post. And i work 5 hours per day tues-thurs. get there at 9. Hour lunch, leave at 3. Make myself visible. Pace the halls.
Meanwhile we still have colleagues who's on regional wfh roles. They can take frequent naps, run errands, do housework, wash car, walk dogs, cook meals. All within the working hours. 3M WYW program is really great.

"Employee morale is improving rapidly" - This is absolutely not the case. We are so far from improved morale, we can't even see it from where we are.
Keep in mind he followed perhaps the worst CEO in 3M history. But yes he has pleasantly surprised people around here who appreciate his vision and decisiveness. Morale is definitely on the upswing. Even if he does have to layoff some people, everyone will take it in stride, knowing he has a growth agenda for 3M. He's got all the skills and business acumen that Vale had but without any of the downside.
Anyone complaining about him is only mad because they have to give up afternoon naps and work a full day collaborating with 3Mers.
