Last week at our office raise and bonus letters started being handed out. It’s been several days now and I haven’t received a letter or any feedback about it. I even went to chat with my manager for a minute and he said nothing about it. Is this how NG does it? Do they hand out the raise/bonus letters to everyone who gets one and just go radio silent on the ones who don’t?

Every year there is a formal "Annual Compensation Review Statement" from HR that shows your new compensation, bonus, effective date, and the history. It is not available on workday and you can only get it from your manager. Some managers print it out and give you a physical copy, some email it you as a pdf file, and I guess some don't even let you know it is a thing....
Since when do they hand out "letters". Its a 1:1 with your manager. I just had mine, standard 10% raise, and OK bonus. Bonus are just that...a bonus above and beyond and never to be expected but appreciated when it happens.
As for layoffs, I always am checking the job boards to see who else might be hiring in my area of expertise.
You should’ve received the letter in December the merit raises usually come in on March.
