Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

THE RICHEST MAN IN AMERICA

"I am the richest man in America.

I have a wife who loves me in spite of all my faults.

I have four dogs. Two love only me. One loves everybody. One loves no one but is still very loyal.

I have a horse I love to ride around the farm, and best of all, she comes to me when I call her.

I have too much to eat and a dry place to sleep.

I enjoy my business.

I love my farm and my home.

I have a few close friends, and money has never been my God.”

Not anymore.

Ted Jones wasn’t the saint leadership claims he was. He was well known for firing people on whims and hunches.

Whenever I see a "toast to Ted" I think the leaders are drinking the Kool-aid. It's sort of creepy in a cult worship sort of sense.

It could be great again. Just need a better leader.

So sad. Those days are long gone.

EJ clings onto the facade of this old culture, when they're just another soulless financial firm. I think EJ was probably never what it portrays itself to be. Ted Jones was probably an a--hole.
