Anyone else feel like they are playing Spiderman v Spiderman? Waiting to be riffed versus quitting. They're both essentially the same thing (leaving the company), but one comes with potential benefits (severance) while the other offers more control and potentially a faster exit.

I couldn’t play the game anymore. I resigned a few weeks ago and it felt so good giving my notice- it wasn’t worth waiting for the minimal bonus or the chance at being laid off. Seeing their reaction was priceless and not having chest pains over that s—thole is pretty good too.
This has been my life everyday for about 2 years. I already quit once, and was convinced by my immediate manager to stay and ride it out. I am one of the lucky ones though, I have enough savings to take a sabbatical.
