Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

March 7 Attrition

Curious if anyone has heard about personnel in their enterprise that are collecting their bonuses on March 7th and leaving the firm.

I overheard of several people today that are leaving after bonuses are paid out. Someone also mentioned that this happens every year. Something tells me this exodus might be the biggest the firm has seen.

Y'all complain about STS in other threads, but they are simply stretched too thin.

bs. We lost a lot of good people but the problem is process and incompetence in the big chairs. Our cto has had the role for too long with too many epic failures. Our cio is beyond incapable. Operations is a constant listing of outages due to complexity and failing vendors.

We are stretched thin but the overhead to do anything is the problem. It doesn't help when we keep implementing failures and champion flawed strategy.

I'm ready to leave once the bonus hits.

Y'all complain about STS in other threads, but they are simply stretched too thin. Execs are assuming AI code will suddenly make everyone more productive, or waiting until maga daddy magically makes the market go up.

STS needs a union but too much fear to even start.

"I am I got a 2.5% pay increase and 13% bonus. I am going on sabbatical soon I have a job offer that pays better and is fully remote. I am not coming back I am ghosting them lol."

You need to use every single sick day you can after the sabbatical, make them fire you

Every year this thread comes up. A small portion leave every year. This year it won't be many leaving as the market is tough right now and getting worse with the new administration and fear companies will adopt similar department of efficiency efforts.

Fairly annual pattern. As another commented, fewer will choose this option this year due to the economic and political circumstances.
