I made a conscious decision to ignore all the toxicity and not let them force me to quit. Now, I’m waiting to be laid off and collect my well-deserved severance. Unfortunately, I’ve been overlooked for now. I despise this place with a passion, and the only reason I’m still holding on is that I don’t want them to have it easy.

Hide some cheese and fish in the office
i'm pretty sure the OP was being sarcastic. if not, this post is very insensitive.
then go and find a better job, whats is the point of staying here, being underpaid and hating it?
If you think the “decent” thing for folks to do is forego their benefits to “open up a spot” for an outsourced, incompetent replacement, I have a bridge to sell you (straight to Pune).
As an employee — impacted or not— you should be incensed. Leadership is telling you they have no issue replacing you with someone that likely has no clue what you do to “return shareholder value” instead of, you know, coming up with a viable strategic vision. They are cutting your benefits and bonus structure. They will likely implement RTO. If you stay on, you will work harder and get paid the same and face the same headcount exercise next year. You are not safe.
Lift the veil. This place su-ks. It’s underperformed its competitors for a reason. Maybe there was a time when you could take pride working for a large organization with decent pay. That time is not now. It’s been a sh-t show since reinvent.
If that’s the case the decent thing to do would be to GTFO right now and open up a spot for somebody who actually wants to work there.
This little grand standing post only shows the kind of selfish person that you are as if they gave a rats butt hole about your little Act of self Flagellation.
I hate posts like this. The only reason you’re not quitting is because you enjoy your cushy job with good pay and flexibility. If you really hated it, you would have left a long time ago.
Steady lad. No quitting. Make em pay
