Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Working for Intel and _____?

In times like these, employees deserve to take as much power as they can. Who knows how long are earnings runways truly are. You think you’re gonna be able to work for a wage in 20 years?

Who here has advice on getting a job with a second company, riding the Intel death trap into the ground for as long as you can or until you get caught, and then sliding on over into the new role? Why WOULDNT you just keep taking Intel paychecks and working 15 hours a week for as long as possible? It’s not like Intel is going to be around to rehire you for putting in your 2-weeks.

Dude. Where have you been the last three or four years? My house is paid off thanks to this strategy. I probably pulled in retirement a decade. Thanks Intel!

THIS message is the consequence of a corporate culture lacking transparency, which has created a perception of internal disparities, a lack of recognition for merit and employees' needs to maintain even a minimal sense of belonging and responsibility. Intel deserves this after all its senseless reorgs, failure to meet objectives, empty promises, salary cuts, and most of all, the layoffs of competent people under the guise of 'doing it for the good of the company.' Sc--w all the rotten apples that caused this.
