Which departments are being affected today?

It’s very clear from who has been let go that this layoff was targeted to let go as many remote employees as possible to force the return to office.

Was given 14 weeks of severance for 8 years of service.

Severance varies by your level or as least it used to 5 years ago. 2 weeks for every year is better than it was if true

What did the email say? Only corporate employees received any news on more store closures?

I was laid off this morning. Termination date is officially March 7 so I’ll have health insurance and be paid through that date. Severance is based off of tenure. I think it’s 2 weeks for every year you’ve been there.

It really su-ks they’re dragging it out like this… I can’t image this happening for a whole week.

What does the severance package look like? Does it depend on how long you were with the company?

Health insurance wasn't paid through the end of the month the day I was laid off. It was only effective until 11:59pm that same day.

Insurance is done on the termination effective date not the end of the month.

Usually, insurance is paid for the month, so if today is the day you will not have coverage on March 1. Hence the reason everything is changing this work week.

Has anyone heard about insurance? Does it run out the day of termination or the end of the month?

Seems every team and department will be affected. Heard of many layoffs already today and it’s widespread

such bullsh-t to drag it out all week. Just give us all the week off until you call us in to get cut. No one is doing any work anyway.

The day has arrived. It’s looking massive.

The lack of a WARN notice means that this is either actually not very big or that Fossil isn't being super legal about it...
