They're talking about quality because there is none thanks to RTO and the people who left because of it.
You will never get top quality with technical employees by firing people who are told to do as they are told and not to do it because it is the efficient and logical thing to do.
The people who are smart will be resentful for being subjected to stupidity and were already underpaid to be at Fiserv. The people who are even smarter so will be gone sooner than you know it if not already.
When we consider Amazon, and all of these "top" companies..they already could afford quality and built on it. We never had it to lose. But now ranking lowest across the board for all cores in an industry not known for technical prowess, on every metric. We let our best go because C level thought it was worth copying their neighbors.
We make the numbers look good for a short honeymoon phase after covid. Yet now we will lose our lead thanks to lack of good management.
Just remember that this place is just good for a paycheck and to move on.
