It stands out to me that expats who are clearly not leaders are the ones promoted.
“Hey Alex, I will take anyone that doesn’t have ties to Pete for $100.”
Kissing management a-s is how you become a leader. That's why the company is in its current state. Oh, and also backstabbing your coworkers
I echo what the last poster just said. Just looking at the HQ in Melville, look at who they put in charge of marketing. He has no experience with marketing! He has failed every step of the way! Yet he keeps getting promoted!
Why you ask? Great question. Simply because he’s a Japanese expat who has been at the company for a long time. That’s it. Seriously. That is his only qualification. Try talking to him for 5 minutes and you will walk away feeling d-mber.
The company doesn’t care about “leaders”. They care about putting unqualified, undeserving and clueless ancient expats in leadership positions. This is the single reason the company is failing. How they don’t see this is beyond me.
