We are being replaced by an app. Reverse network scale, hook 'em on that Dell goodness and they will never leave.
The App will do everything. Sales, support, services, just like Uber but with MD at the helm.

AI systems and aops are able to feign empathy, sympathy, or out right hostility. But they will never understand it. Today I attended a memorial service for a former colleague. When the company she was working for was call EMC, this colleague had built a reputation in the firm for keeping a positive attitude and finding solutions to problems. In other words she could read a customer or a room and no what to do and say… and why. With the current AI push, that kind of humanity will soon disappear completely from our support departments. For years people at our company would call support and get a sympathetic and understanding ear and then when the right information had been gathered find themselves on the way to a solution. Unfortunately that type of service began to erode with the Dell merger. And the cliff is washing away faster than any us thought possible.

We’ll miss her. And many customers will never realize how much of that service they used to enjoy was her doing.

And so far the app is just like MD, it doesn't know the difference between a $200 laptop and enterprise servers.
