I know I'm not the only one that is hearing things about how the layoffs are going to shake out. I'm surprised this board isn't blowing up with noise.

Are they really notifying people who are impacted with an email vs a personal conversation?
That’s pretty ruthless.
It’s brutal for everyone. We will wake up to it. I went on Reddit someone commented there was info on there didn’t find anything but a bunch of people making stupid comments. Easy to comment when you aren’t going through this. For anyone that isn’t a partner just have some compassion and go away get a life don’t comment here. For the partners reading this we will get through this.
I agree with this not being in line with our mission and values. How many emails can they send warning us that layoffs are coming before they finally happen? It’s just adding to the anxiety.
Does anyone know what the packages are? Felt like a lot of VP+ out the door today… :(
Sending positive vibes to all of our partners facing uncertainty. What has anyone heard about required relocation to Seattle for remote managers?
Well I know it’s going to be a hard night for everyone. Sending everyone positive vibes and let’s see what tomorrow has for us. To make us wait to tomorrow feel very… no our mission and values.
Notification are out already check reddit
Are there any data scientist that are affected?
Have they started yet? Are people already being told they are being let go?
Ew. Imagine blaming people who have no control over prices for them losing their jobs. Bless your heart. You must really think you are something special to go onto message boards and troll people who are genuinely concerned for their jobs. I would like to be the first to encourage you to get a life. :)
You folks sort of brought it on yourselves with high prices and arrogant baristas. Sorry this is happening tho.
I hear that all departments will be impacted with significant losses in P&AP, Finance and Human Resources. Advance list of personnel cut was approved by SVP
I stopped going to Starbucks when mochas got near six bones each. Besides, it's too noisy in the stores and it's now become a study hall with all seats taken.
Not an insider, just a family member of a support partner. The email is out announcing another email tomorrow morning at 7 PST to people getting cut. Severance will be at pay through May 2nd, remote work this week for the SSC and ~1,100 impacted and not 1,500. Following and nervous hoping for the best. Would appreciate any additional insight into functions being impacted.
Any word on what roles? Do you all think it will be done this week? Sending all partners positive thoughts from your international office suport partners. We are feeling it too. Here is to hoping this is over soon.
What part of ST would they be offshoring? Consumer facing or corporate tech?
The technology org numbers ain’t just about layoffs, most of it is offshoring. Not sure if that’s worse.
I’ve heard all these same things; ~1500 impacted with ~400 in ST, and emails start tomorrow afternoon telling folks to WFH Tuesday. Also heard severance isn’t as generous as it was during Velocity.
And to the reporter, F#CK OFF.
I heard the decision of layoffs is decided by SVPs. Can anyone confirm?
Where did you hear the 1500 globally from?
1,500 is a global number. 10% of corporate partners globally.
Where did you hear 1500? Thats a crazy high number.
1500 is nearly half of SSC - is this number including global partners?
Supposedly 1,500 partners will be affected. 30% from tech teams.
I’m a reporter keeping a close eye on the layoffs. Would love to hear from you about what you’re hearing. Here’s how to reach me on Signal (an end-to-end encrypted app)

This email you’re talking about, will it be sent Monday?
Heard the following. Can anyone confirm?
Hearing an email will be sent after the stock market closes at 2 PM PST. You will receive 1 of 4 type of emails:
- keep job as is
- move to a different team
- keep job with layoff within 6 months (remote managers need to relocate to Seattle)
- layoff completely
Hold on tight... it’s coming starting Monday
