Yesterday I scheduled an appointment for an ultrasound. I just received a call this morning that I don't have any medical insurance coverage. I thought I was on the Aetna Select ExxonMobil Retiree plan. They told me on the phone that my coverage was dropped on 12/31/24. I have been paying my premiums each and every month. I have paid the premiums through February 2025. Has anyone else had this problem? I still am using the insurance card from last year. Were you sent a new insurance card? Thank you for the responses.

The strategy of making the maintenance of insurance coverage complicated for retirees declining in mental acuity is ????
pre-65 retirees were moved to BCBS. Post-65 stayed on Aetna (Advantage)
New Blue Cross insurance cards were mailed the 3rd week of December 2024. I did not receive one in the mail. Please make sure you get one if you are retired and pre 65 age. The lady on the phone told me to make sure you have in-network doctors and specialists due to costs.
Retirees were moved to BCBS effective Jan 1, 2025. Numerous emails and written correspondence received with no prompting required.
Not true. Retirees are still on Aetna
OP, probably you were moved to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas which is more or less like having no insurance. The result is the same.
`everything
will be
ok`
Exxonmobil switched to Blue Cross/Blue Shield as of Jan 1; you should have received multiple communications on this. I assume if you took no action they would have defaulted you to BCBS. Good luck!
