Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

I’m not worried

I’m bulletproof. I just earned 9 Precipio badges on such important tech topics like ‘Increasing Your EQ”, “How to Communicate”, “Being a successful collaborator”, and more.

WIth all these badges I can work into any tech company in the world and be laughed out of the building before I even get to the reception desk. Not sure why Dell wastes so much money on these ‘classes’. It’s not like listening to someone trying to sell her book or lecture service is going to make us more competitive.

My god… You’ve ascended to…

DELL®

CERTIFIED™

Congratulations! This won’t affect your pay at all but you’re basically paying us with your time on these useless courses. Your manager will constantly remind you during every staff meeting to do more of these courses. All of that technical topics you learn about won’t be applicable to your role and responsibilities because we outsource all of that effort elsewhere. But at least during your supplier meeting, you will be like, “Hey! That looks familiar. I think I learned that in a video that was only five minutes long.” And you can thank Dell for that introductory and inapplicable knowledge.

Please continue to watch those videos. It’s the busiest you’ll probably be. When you write up your weekly reports, at least you can write down, “Self training: videos on increasing productivity.”

"Dell wastes so much money on these ‘classes’."

I think those companies are paying dell.
I am 100% sure dell is selling data to third party research or marketing firms.
In this case, those classes, it's collecting research data.

I guess the same classes on LinkedIN weren’t effective so they changed the covers on the same book.
