A 7am meeting was just scheduled titled “Update” by the SIBG SCVP. What’s the Update going to be?

I'm glad to admit I was wrong on this one. Bye bye PG, may you never darken 3M's doors again.
Yes
Was the 6 am mfg ops meeting about Peter?
Tireman retires!
I'm in SIBG... no meeting notice for me. Maybe that's a good thing..
Fake news!!! No meeting scheduled for tomorrow. Don’t spread fear.
3M DOGE
OTIF got a lot of attention on earnings call, so expecting ‘heads to roll’. That means don’t waste good negative headlines and blame the worker and justify cuts. Senior leadership can’t be to blame, the workers must just not be smart enough to implement the genius strategies from the top. Look out below….
Probably announce TC to PSD VP and AP to EMD VP. They are both just a pile with no track record of delivering
Some deduction:
- 6 am CST - Only time window for a live global meeting, so this is global in scope. (Mid-day in Europe, evening but still waking hours in Asia)
- Friday - last working day of the week - and still Friday in all time zones.
- Mid-February - Nowhere near a quarterly earnings announcement, only 2 weeks of solid sales data on February so far.
- Ambiguous title - 'Update' - with no elaboration - this is a (maybe the) standard title for layoff meetings at 3M.
Not to be overly pessimistic, but some possibilities that fit the evidence:
- Immediate or near-immediate layoffs
- Full RTO announcement, worldwide.
I could easily be wrong, but going on past history I can say with confidence it won't be a meeting to announce good news.
In the McNerney days this would have absolutely been a layoff announcement, with people told to check their emails to find out if they still had a job.
Is if for the newly created role of Director of cost of quality? The person move from PSD
Not sure; I hear there’s a 6am cst “update” meeting from the Mfg Ops SVP too. What should we expect to be updated on?!?!?
Is this the planning VP?
