BS was to step away at end of year but signed a new 3 year contract. JB was to take over for BS. With the new BS contract, JB said FU.

Well apparently 40% of sales were not doing sales and we've been told now it's time to check engineering so our managers told us to ensure there is a trace of our work as WFR decisions will be made well above they pay grade using secret performance KPIs..

It's going to be really really sh---y year with even more secret agendas and people throwing sh-t at you to look better :/

I have friends looking for a job and they say it is bad out there. I think Dell is trying to use AI tools as much as possible. I don't think you can replace a human being with some of the more complicated solutions. You need humans. For all the talk of employee numbers, every year a company has to show how many employees they have from what I believe is the 10-K.

While I don’t believe the 43k number. There absolutely will be more layoffs, I mean… obviously. Especially in inside sales and PreSales. They are going to continue to automate our a lot of jobs, and they aren’t getting the attrition they were hoping for by making everyone miserable as he-l. Which, what a great plan that’s been for business. Most people I know are dying to get out of here, myself included, problem is the job market is B A D still.

Bain have recommended a further 15 - 25% reduction in staff to achieve the "profitability required" for Dell's stock price to reach $200+ - MD, JC, BS all pressing forward with that as the focus. Why do you think JB left to "spend more time with his family"?

Where there is smoke there is fire. Many of you will say it's BS, Rubbish, Scare Mongering, Not True etc etc. but time and time again the "rumors" expressed on this site have become fact.

Bain have run out of ideas and yet continue to make these ridiculous recommendations, cash fat checks for their "service" simply because Dell's ELT believe everything they say.
They'd buy "ice in the arctic" if Bain told them to.

not surprising is it?
ceo hasn't been relevant in over 10y
no innovation 1 trick pony
firesale on office and amenities

company has been in a freefall for a few years now.

There is a significant amount of automation underway, inside sales will see the immediately impact of this in the near future. Quoting process will be automated, driving customers and partners to buy online significantly. When the HC in sales is reduced, an equivalent ratio of HC in non sales will be cut as well. After all modernisation is all about efficiency improvement across all verticals

It is not 43K. The request is that we look at our organizations and what impact it would have if it was reduced by 15%. That is all we have been asked to do.
