I doubt but truly hope this post makes it to the C-SUITE to give a honest perspective.
Pros:
•I love what I do. I love the client interaction, the collaboration across respective internal teams, the knowledge I have gained, and that I learn something new everyday.
•My manager and teammates are great
Cons:
•The dread as a remote worker to be asked into an office when you’ve never stepped a day into an Fiserv office outside of a meeting.
•Tracking Sapience, Clarity, and other dashboards to ensure you’re hitting your metrics.
Which causes LESS TIME FOR CLIENTS. Let me repeat that for those of you in the back…LESS TIME FOR CLIENTS!
At the end of the day, all that matters is that we all get our jobs done and that clients are satisfied. To use another sports analogy. A hitter can practice the perfect launch angle all they want but if you’re ONLY looking at the launch angle, then you’re missing all the other core baseball hitting fundamentals. Hands to the ball, staying balanced, etc.
Here’s the truth of the story. The motto of late is ‘We’re better together”, because the clients like to see us in the office. I guarantee you I have seen more clients, on multiple occasions, in my travels than Frank has ever seen in a Fiserv office. The clients would also like to HEAR what the respected Fiserv person is saying and not a plethora of background noise in a Sardine can.
In office is dropping like flies. Berkeley has become a turnstile and KNOWLEDGEABLE remote workers are leaving or being forced out.
