Yeah, the constant changing of Pro initiatives shows that they are rudderless. Pros are so sick of it. They don’t even know what they’re eligible for in discounts, lost track of how things are calculated, they keep throwing so many new features at them and changing the rules that they are throwing their hands up.

What I wanna know is why the company is OK with their stocks being so heavily manipulated, for the worse . Our stocks have plummeted along with everybody else’s. Is this how it went down in 2008?

Melvin is a real piece of work. He doesn't give a cr-p about you and just keeps taking away any hope of Lowe's every being the place it was when corporate actually cared about its employees.

Get the cashiers and pro desk people off their comfy chairs/bar stools and put them to work engaging with customers or stocking.

The company has made so many strategic blunders the last few years, I’ve lost count:

  1. Outsourcing delivery
  2. Straying from core business with boondoggles like petsmart/carharrt/toy product assortments that don’t sell
  3. Constant rejiggering of pro business initiatives
  4. NFL sponsorship(big city sport for a primarily rural-based company)
  5. too many worthless area/regional/market field director positions that are accountable for nothing and overpaid

These are just a few.

I have been an active Lowe's vendor in the stores everyday for the last 10 years. This company is on fumes. A perfect storm of horrific management from the top down, a terrible economy and customers that simply do not have to money to fund even small home improvement projects let alone large ones. I have had Store Managers, ASM's and even Regional Managers outright REFUSE my offers to train their inexperienced associates. Blows my mind that ANY manager would refuse training. Get out while you can.
