Remember the 2020–2023 global chip shortage?
Car prices were jacked way up.
Well, two years later, did the prices ever come down? How do they justify these prices?
How will they expect people to pay 25% increase?
Do you think car sales will continue at current levels of the prices increase by double digits?

Are you watching GM and Ford stock?
Mind you, poor stock performance drives senior leaders to cut, cut, cut.
They are too desperate and unimaginative to plan around the negative consequences of these cuts.

So what can YOU do?
Show up. Be a top performer. Dress to impress. Be positive. These are traits that winners have. Or do the opposite and be on the other side of the office window looking in.

This part of the economic cycle shouldn't be about doom-scrolling or victim mindset. It should be about recognizing the realities before you. Sales are going drop. The stock will fall. Cuts will be made. The 25% tariff and the high interest rates will have a great impact on an already indebted consumer that faces high inflation in all aspects of life. Hiring and promoting will cease and the senior leaders will carefully scrutinize your performance. Do you understand??? Your existence within this environment is entirely up to YOU, not GM.

Driving home today I noticed school kids walking away from a bus wearing pyjamas and Crocs. If you are sending your kids to school like this, shame on you. They look poor and also like slobs. Next generation is doomed. Brain addled from absent, entitled parents. Demoralized by first person shooting video games and social media.

What Trump did in his first term:

US auto production has been steadily declining over the past decade. In 2014, the US produced more than 4 million finished cars, according to Commerce Department data. Last year, the US produced 1.7 million finished cars.
