How come none of these layoffs were on the warn notice? Understand that April will have another layoff session

I started in September and all I got was 2 pay checks.
It is awful how this happened and you just never know about the companies. Now those who survived the cut at Store level wait to see how this will affect the stores who have new DM’s that have never led Big Box Stores and DM’s who have never led Specialty Stores. I imagine it will be tougher on the DMs coming from small Specialty stores to learn JCPenney as some stores are very large. Just hoping that there is not over ki-l with trying to micro-manage leaders at these JCPenney stores, by trying to treat them like a Specialty store. Going to take some time for DMs to get accustomed to just how different SPARC & JCPenney stores are in comparison.

The comment about Catalyst cutting out Legacy Sparc employees over JCPenney employees is incorrect. I was laid off along with many other JCPenney corporate associate's yesterday. This decision was horrible. Catalyst laid off associate's throughout all of the companies in this merger which is just so horrible. So many of these associate's have given so much time with this company yet they choose to keep departments such as Diversity and Inclusion over most of their HR employees?
This merger should have never occurred. All I see is JCPenney going in a downward spiral. As they lost so many key players in the home office.
Catalyst cut a ton of legacy sparc corporate employees to be replaced by jcp employees. absolutely devastating and disheartening to watch.
