The majority of Engineers and mechanics are glorified temps. There is no job stability at Boeing unless you are related to a senior manager.
There is a reason most people leave and never come back.

There is a reason most people leave and never come back.
The reason for temps is all the full time engineers are sitting at home watch TV and enjoying life . Over sized hole three shifts to get a fix from engineering. Cry like a baby I do not want to go to the office. So you set at home the only different is no pay check. The real engineers are next to the aircraft with eyes of the product.
Boeing is a good place to start for a young person but not a good place to stay very long. Just get your
work experience and move on. There’s other better companies out there than this company. If you stay too long, you’re wasting your time you can make a lot of money elsewhere with less headache.
Boeing is the biggest gaslighter in aviation. They start fires and just walk away.
Engineers not teaching the next generation is exactly the wrong thing to do.
But, in the Boeing culture, this is what you have to do to survive. Because of you teach people what you know, you are no longer needed. This is a perfect example of culture driving behavior.
But the good news is they put out a survey. This time it's different, this time they will actually change.
This sounds like every dysfunctional/abusive relationship I have ever seen.
the 'bankers' are turning the engineers into temps
the engineers should now be very wise in disseminating any information
or knowledge that they have to others
it is just simply self-protection
