Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

TCP - Numbers are out. How we feeling?

I tell ya, this company takes the cake and ice cream too. TCP numbers are out today! Yay! What a great year we have had they say! Um, did we forget about the su-kers who made it happen? No merit, same bonus (which we honestly count on as part of our income, what a shocking thing to say I know). That saying, the high tide lifts all boats...I think it lifted some people out to sea on a pile of cash and the rest of us floundering on the shore like a fish out of water. Show me the money! Where did it go?

Sign in the elevator bay says “we rise together”….you know what didn’t rise for most US workers? Salaries and bonuses. You know what did rise? Profits. You know who all got big raises? India.

This place is horrible. Terrible management including many evp. I started looking elsewhere and immediately got offers for at least 30% more. I had two solid offers when I quit. No two weeks, just 9am meeting & left.

I too was a loyal worker who gave 150% , worked extra hours (no pay salary) .
In exchange every year I got a 6% raise and 5% bonus.

Then suddenly the company hired bean counters to cut company expenses through,
layoffs, and years of no to tiny raises and bonuses.

I could no longer take it and said to my boss " I am the employee who does the workload of 2 people, I am the employee everyone comes to with questions.
And yet I am no longer getting rewarded for it.

His response, " Well be grateful you still have a job and haven't been laid off "

Gonna adjust my work output by inflation vs my raise. (Oh no raise) guess I will be doing less work and less caring about the work I do. WTF is the incentive for wanting to do a good job ?

Same old same old. No raise, flat bonus. Bonus pool was up BUT we hired more people. At least the bonus was flat instead of a crater. And COLA is bs. They used give a pittance each year but it was something. They stopped that 10-15 years ago. It's like they're forcing you to leave it you want higher pay, so the good ones leave. Stupid.

Your manager can see it. If he/she haven't forwarded to you yet, it could be because it's embarrassing for them to share it with you. When the TCP results are terribly low, it's an awkward situation whenever they email or give us a print out of it. I had one 'manager' that chickened out and didn't share me anything.

I feel completely deflated with no merit/raise. I went above and beyond my role and responsibilities that is TWO levels higher than my current pay grade. Yet I didn't even get acknowledged for it, let alone monetary rewarded. Time to keep my head down and do the bare minimum while looking for a better job.

Which means the Boss protects them and favors them.

Bonuses and raises are a JOKE. I've been with the company more than a decade. I've seen some intelligent and honest workers that never get recognized or rewarded and get frustrated and quit. The ones that stay trying to keep their team afloat, somehow end up getting laid off with no rhyme or reason. While other individuals that are ultra negative and ignorant, causing a mess; mysteriously get raises and promoted.

If you work at State Street long enough you come to realize the Comp Bonus process is a joke. The hardest working people get the shaft year after year.

In Ron’s Pocket. India may mess up send the work to you to correct and play d-mb. That’s what the new standard is. I hope I hit the lottery as I will take a few people to retire.

Company discusses how transparent they are yet higher up say how well the company did but Trey are not transparent on where all this extra profits went.

Most people got the same as prior year and are supposed to be happy that they were not less compensated… they forget to mention with health care increases those with no increase are netting less than prior year.

The few that got increases were 1 or 2 percent for merit and maybe just a slight in bonus.

The high level mgmt gets their own loaf of bread (aka money)

Middle workers get 1 slice

The low level workers get the crumbs

Working hard, working weekends, holidays hasn't helped get bigger raises and bonuses in the last 20 years.

So why ki-l yourself working ?
