If you don’t exclude candidates for racial, ethnic, or similar reasons that have nothing to do with their qualifications then you have a larger pool of qualified candidates from which to choose the best.

With DEI, you will never get the best candidates. No matter how hard they push the lie.

I liked the tight jeans. If we're going to listen to a bunch of 'fluff' for over an hour, I enjoy a little eye candy on the screen every now and then :-)

I’m all for hiring and promoting the very best candidate for every position!! That’s my vote!!

Why does everything on this page turn into racist, Trumper incels finding new ways to whine about DEI? Corporate Greed is sc--wing us all, not the bullsh-t regurgitated on the forum. Probably the same people who defend the fascist takeover happening right now.

Which is more important:

  1. hire/promote the very best candidate for every position
  1. hire/promote based on DEI criteria regardless if there are better candidates applying

No one mentioned the too-tight jeans on the Aetna dude? C'mon Steve.
Anyone else noticing the Group exec organizational changes? Are we adding layers of SVPs/VPs because it sure seems like it? Is that really what we need when we're cost-cutting?
The town hall --- it's more like a road show for the colleagues. But if we didn't have it, folks would bi--h there wasn't one. There's a huge group (I'm in it) that are simply disgusted in watching leadership pillage resources to the point nothing short of drastic improvements in pay/benefits will alleviate our mood.

That cancer lady was used as a prop.. probably going to be laid off like so many others without a care. I've known at least 6 people that were laid off by CVS in the middle of cancer treatment..4 died of the disease.. The other two ki-led themselves when they lost access to insurance. One guy told his wife in the su----e note that he would never allow himself to live on if it meant bankrupting the family...but, hey CVS Cares .. A1A!!! Su-kers...

They are hanging their hats on tobacco, something they did over 10 YEARS AGO. This company is not innovative or bold. It's a laggard, struggling and failing to catch up to everyone else.

Case in point the PBM. The writing is on the wall and 'TrueCost' or whatever marketing BS that they try to push is a desperate claw to hold onto a business model that's been despised and outdated for years. The appointment of the CEO's lackey and industry veteran to PBM President will see that business and revenue evaporate. But I love how they spin it as an example of upward mobility for us other 50,000 corporate employees. LOL.

The DEI conversation was a great way to get everyone riled up on either side to distract them from the real issues facing this company and the health care system. You're all talking about it below, when instead we should be uniting for the things we know will actually improve our work.

This company needs to get rid of all the Info$y$, TC$, Cogni id--ts. There are families working under these $tupid contract companies that does not have any skills or work experience drawing company funds that could have been better applied on the company's permanent staff.

Ex contractor Indian leadership has got to go. They are distracting everybody from the blatant scams, nepotism, gross culture at CVS with ramping up DEI again

The entire Indian herd helps each other out and then says the DEI person doesn’t know anything. It’s another gross way to make themselves stay longer in their jobs

DEI and Medicare cuts are not related.

Medicare cuts are coming though. The baby boomer bell curve is on the other side. They just slashed CMS jobs last week regarding innovation and pricing models.

IFP and Medicaid are what competitors are targeting now. The poor and those who can afford the marketplace.

The workforce should reflect the community. We had a person from Government Affairs come to our meeting, and they explained that since we are a government contracted organization, i.e., Medicare, we will need to follow Governmental rules/changes regarding DEI. This is the first time I can remember that our department's organizational goals did not include building diverse teams. CVS is not a Ben and Jerry's.

I hate to break it to the jaded employees posting here. It isn't DEI causing your troubles, it's the greedy people who run and own this company!

With Trump’s DEI EO CVS will change their tune when Medicare funding gets cut off for not ending DEI in the company.

@a4+1jmd8pqzv it frees up workers to pursue more intellectual pursuits like applying for state unemployment benefits that max out at 26 weeks.

With all CVS is saving with the minion robots, how about passing some of that cash down to the employees rather than the stockholders.

Every time I see DEI put down on this forum I imagine it’s CVS management on here. Talk like that to distract the place isn’t 95% Indian men and not American minorities hired without merit. You’re doing great let’s offshore the rest real quick. CVS a hero for selling nicotine mints

Of course she's going to rah rah DEI because she's the VP, Diversity and Inclusion. It boils down to every body just needs to be respectful and kind to each other. When filling roles, it should be based on talent and not check the boxes.
This Aetna dude won't be here long
He's just going to add to his bank account for the next year and then he's gone!
