Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Tell Dell should be interesting

MD wanted 60% of the workforce to be remote by 2019. Many workers were already in that capacity before Covid hit. When everyone went remote, productivity was at an all-time high. The company talked about it all the time. Many articles in the press talked about it. Less of a carbon footprint, less wear and tear on infrastructure, less cars on the road, a fantastic concept. Now, all of that is being flushed down the toilet.

Tell Dell this year is going to be hilarious.

Don't give low scores because our bonus will be lower. Maybe don't answer anything but those that do give good scores so we all get a better bonus. Its right there in the Strategy Cascade slide eNPS = 60 and the fine print below all the other metrics says must hit or bonus will suffer basically. Stop whining and do what you need to and get paid

They don’t care about the results. Take it or don’t. I gave my dog sh-t manager all 1’s and 2’s last time and absolutely nothing happened. This company doesn’t give a single fu-k about any of us.

Be thankful you have a job to complain about.

Tell Dell is the biggest waste of time. You can tell them, but they won't listen. Proof is in the pudding with March RTO.

I think no participation is more impacting than scoring low.

Scoring low affects OUR bonus.

One of the bonus metrics is employee NPS. If you sc--w them on TD then we all suffer in bonus %. Is it really worth getting less $ to complain about RTO?

If you do cr-p on TD and we all get paid less bonus you will all still by crying but this one cost all of us $.

@ae+1jmcyy3by - if managers don't receive enough responses from their team, they get no results. It's pretty telling for their leadership (if they care)

My manager was roasted on TD 2 years ago by the team. Nothing changed. Last year no one did it. Nothing changed other than not having to sit through an awkward "review TD results" meeting with management

Tell Dell is a paid for exercise run by the company who do the "Best Company..." scpeel. MSD has clearly shown he doesn't listen anymore so why bother.

Fy26 ISG strategy map still showing employee nps and “organizational buy in” as measures so I guess they will run the survey again. I think I will abstain. I have nothing nice to say.

I really like my manager so I don't want to impact them through the Tell Dell with low scores.
If we boycott the Tell Dell what sort of impact does it have on your manager, is it as bad as marking 0 on everything.

Imo the company know our view on remote so putting into Tell Dell is a pointless exercise.

About cancelling Tell Dell to save cost and face, that is hilarious and I can totally see them doing that! Some bs reason will be given, “with the changes we are all experiencing, we decided to ‘pause’ Tell Dell this year to give you all time to adjust…”

Ha, they'll probably cancel Tell Dell as a cost-saving measure...

Wasn't there record low employee NPS last year though?

Didn't amount to a hill of beans. Never does.

If people participate, Tell Dell should be fun. Too often they think that if there’s co complaints the all is well.

That and the wording and answer options seem to be designed to force neutral to positive responses.
Ex. I think Dell is awesome

  1. maybe
  2. Yes
  3. Yessss!!!
  4. I am honored just to be here

But the more people complain the lower the Net Promoter Score. Maybe someone will pay attention
