Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Tracking you

They can track everything you do at all times - doesn’t matter if you think you got around it somehow or you turn your status to offline. They know when you aren’t actively at your computer and can use it as a reason to lay you off.

Look into NICE Agent. If it’s on your system, you are for sure being tracked

Summary of using just MS Teams to gage individual productivity. Big brother is watching and just FYI, company can view your encrypted data so don’t do your banking on company time.

The only thing that matters is how much you cost in a business unit. Then where you fall in the popularity contest as a differentiator. I always assume everything on corporate equipment is logged. Never ever go off network with a browser unless work related. Never login to personal accounts since once the data transits corp assets they can do what they wish with it.

The truth is that they don't need a reason to lay you off. They just do it. They have complete disregards for age, years of service, whether you are a the best at what you do, or whether you bring value. It all boils down to dollars to them. They are in business to make money. They are not in the business of healthcare at all. It is about shareholder value, greed and profits. So whether they track you or not is irrelevant.

This is very true. I worked for 3 years for this company in middle management. It is tracked via an app. They can see everything you click on, every web browser you open, email you read, excel file, track chats, etc and how long you were there. It was blatantly obvious who had mouse jigglers but i didn’t care bc i also had one and was more of a “just get your work done and that’s all that matters” boss. But those above me absolutely cared about the tracking. I didn’t stay long bc I hated it

They do more than just track with Teams. Look up the Verint Agent software. While I have no way of knowing that's loaded on every system, they have required laptops without this that were already out in the 'wild' to download and install it. That tracks everything and allows a supervisor to actively view your screen to see what you are doing at any given time and you won't be able to tell if they are doing so. My suggestion, instead of mouse movement software, is to have open a number of documents, screenshots, whatever, that if you need to get up from your desk you can bring a different one up each time. People tend to not move their mouse too much if they are reading a document. Doesn't give you a ton of time to be away but it's better than nothing.

They are tracking by Teams. It knows who you talk to, when, how productive with online storage. These reports are already available but not sure which leaders opt for it to make staffing decisions.

It’s terrible what IT has turned into. Use to be competitive business differentiator. Now it’s just used to track us and determine who can be replaced with AI itr India employee. Get out of this company if you can.

Just open notepad and lay the stapler down on your keyboard, it's look like you're typing. The things you have to do just to get up and go to the bathroom or make another cup of coffee. It's sickening isn't it? You'd think we were criminals trying to sell millions of shares of stocks in the middle of the night and then be under a DOJ investigation for participating in such behavior. "Allegedly" of course.

i havent been canned yet and have been using a mouse jiggling software for a long time. They dont give us admin rights on our machines so they assume we're locked out from installing software but they never said you can't sideload apps :D

I mean, we know. Ask us how we know. You’re going to get mad me post here, and use your tracking software to do…what. Maybe generate a bunch of spam calls and phishing emails to the people who speak out about your mess? Hmph
