Best behaviors will be restored after the useless BOD and managers can restore this company at its best
Best behavior without doing any real work :)
I got excellent reviews during my tenure at Intel and still got laid off. The company replaced my Engineer role and several others with green badge techies and DEI.
I am thankful for it though. The decision makers were making terrible decisions at the time, and not open to suggestions. It’s like they were deliberately sabotaging Intel’s chances for success.
Even if the takeovers don't pan out, Intel has to restructure to be more like TSMC and the others, to get the costs in line with the competition.
The mega tech companies are bringing back stocked ranking, and quarterly termination of the bottom 5% to 10%.
They prefer this to layoffs because it is at lower cost. No packages or anything.
They are also stepping up employee monitoring, with cameras, Badge (RFID) tracking and computer use, and are terminating people for cause. Then they don't even have to pay unemployment.
There are several generations of younger employees who have never faced this kind of job market, and may be moving into their parents basement some time soon.
The family wants to eat, no matter how hard I try to convince them it’s best if we don’t. Can’t get the kids to settle on whether they’d rather sleep out in the cold with a full stomach or sleep hungry but warm.
It’s inevitable either way. Blood bath is coming. Don’t forget to thank and applaud the retirees. Their illustrious life’s work and careers got us here and they really want us to celebrate their achievements
