Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

Why does DST's H.R. reps lie about DST's potential job promotion

I found that advancement in the DST org is almost non existant compared to what H.R. depicted when I interviewed. They lie!

If I ever see my H.R. hiring rep, named Coleen on the street, it won't be a pretty conversation! How much of my life did I waste cause she conned me into taking a dead end job.

Well DST's folks were very nice when they hired me. Then my manager turned out to be someone who showed no respect for any of his staff. People were depressed, saw no future, were blamed for any possible issue, got calls at night on issues, were told to take vacation at year end only when business slowed down and client were taking xmas break. I left. Never seen a place like DST in my 25 years of work history. Its like a work environment out of the 1950's factories.

Yeah, Dst hiring reps grossly underestimated the workload to me. I was doing the work of 3 people who had left. For just 1 of those person's salary. So I did that for a while, then when I found our 3 had quit and I was doing their exact old jobs, I slacked off, took alot of time of, every vacation day as soon as it was earned, my Boss couldnt do anything cause they needed me so bad, then right at the busiest time of the year I quit, gave 1 weeks notice. Dst reaps what they sow.

Yes, I have found the job opportunity is far less than advertised.

Its very inconvienient for H.R. to tell the truth. No advancement as it costs DST an extra 1% to give you a raise. So don't give 100 employees a bonus/raise of 1% and you have saved 100% of an annual salary and can hire another person. Ignore 100 people that deserve raises. Hire someone that does not work or quits. Squander that 100% that could have been 100 people's 1% raise bonus.

H.R. exists only for the benefit of the company first.

H.r. does stretch the truth. They never told be I would be blamed for errors in processing caused by bad code written by programmers while I WAS IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL! Is that really my fault?
