The best employees, the most talented and those who should have been role models, this company got rid of very easily. Now they are doing great things for the competition.
In the meantime, low performers, those who hardly do anything, who cause more damage than they add value, are getting all the respect they do not deserve.
Are they trying to tell us not to put in so much effort? It's beyond comprehensible..

I retired from a coorporate position. There is definitely a feeling which I have witnessed from executives and even members of the Ford family that having a Ford job provides tremendous value to an individual.
To me it has always been very strange like there is no other company worth working for, or no other company would take those individuals.
The words " Ford" and "High Performer" are mutually exclusive. It's more than obvious that everyone at Ford is a low performer, just look at all the defective junky defective vehicles they produce and all the recalls. Ford has low standards which makes it a low performance culture. It's bizarre that there are still delusional people at Ford who actually think they are high performers.
To the OP: LOL the arrogance of people who KNOW for certain who the low performers are and who "hardly works". You sound like a nosey old woman, spying and gossiping on her neighbors about what she thinks she sees. If you have THAT MUCH free time at work to determine who performs and who doesn't outside your immediate team then I'd say YOU are the LOW PERFORMER! If you were busy performing like I was when I was at Ford then you'd have NO TIME to see what other people are doing at all. None, period.
The logic is very simple. The recent layoff decision is not merit based. The new friends and family plan will further benefit their loved ones.
