We seem to be at a point where the only thing higher-ups care about is how to keep their cushy spots. They don't care how they'll achieve that. They’ll wreck careers, stall progress, and call it leadership. We're sadly at the point where even laying bricks sounds like a smarter move than wasting more time here.

Cisco is a day2 company. It took a while, but they have pushed out almost all the OG VP+ with more than 15 years in the company. Only a few VPs left that started their career at Cisco.
