Unveiling of buying 3.0 and the centralization of buying to GS

I do not have knowledge of any concrete facts about cuts and reorg and I am hearing from upper level folks that they are not informed too (at least that's what they are saying)... I am expecting the unveiling of buying 3.0 and the centralization of buying to GS.

My hunch is that they are going to open a large number of expat positions, keep the bare minimum of ABs here in the US, and layoff the rest of the folks. This is just my own take based on talks with peers and some more senior folks.

ab’s are 100% overworked, i can see it clearly watching someone close to me struggle in the role. The way this "meeting" was handled is an absolute disgrace... honestly, it's completely put me off aldi as a company. up until now, i actually thought they were decent, but the stress they dump on their employees and the way they deliver news is just so unprofesional. i hope this backfires on them, but i doubt it will, and even if it does they probaly won't care because "big business"... suppliers will keep supplying since they need the money, and aldi keeps expanding, which is yet another great example—no cash for pay rises or supporting staff, but plenty to buy more land and open more stores. makes perfect sense!
