Thread regarding Frontier Communications Corp. layoffs

Just get it over with!

Make all boots on the ground contractors and vendors and send all customer service and IT related reps overseas. We know the CEO just wants his cool 40mil while the rest are understaffed and overworked. Make the announcement and be done with the departments. Unless you just a POS and don't care about dragging your coworkers through he-l at work.

Yeah, send everything to India, that way customers can scream at people with accents.

"WE have to be a modern, automated, faster moving company. There is not choice. YOUR best bet is to get with the future and become part of it - more you fight it, more likely it is you'll end up the victims. Time to get real"

If the comments above aren't the definition of defeatist, I don't know what is. Have you ever dealt with our, or any other large company's automation? It certainly does NOT make anything move faster, quite the opposite. You are the one being defeatist, nice deflection attempt.

Who says we just assume the position and allow this bs to happen? The spin doctors in charge are obviously playing by no rulebook, so why should we?

Guys - all your comments are defeatist and negative and can only lead to failure. This company CAN NOT go back to the 'old' ways. They're gone, get over it. WE have to be a modern, automated, faster moving company. There is not choice. YOUR best bet is to get with the future and become part of it - more you fight it, more likely it is you'll end up the victims. Time to get real

Also, if you're new it may well be YOU that lose your job in order for the corporate slavedrivers to be "successful" (i.e. profitable). We shouldn't all have to sacrifice our careers to overseas vendors just to help a board of directors get richer.

Give it a couple of years. The incompetence of this company, along with the constant uphill battle of trying to accomplish something that clearly should make sense to everyone will wear you down. Then you'll be as frustrated and as jaded as the rest of us. I too was an optimistic idealist when I started here. Now I realize that if something makes sense, FTR will NEVER do it.

Nope - Guys, the comment was from me and I'm a field tech. I'd rather be part of a slimmed down successful company, anyone who knows what's going on on the ground can see the inefficiencies everywhere. WE need to be a modern company and succeed, not hang on to the old ways which clearly did not work. Maybe its because I'm new that I can see it, but its plain as daylight.

Yeah, I also think the comment beginning with the word Guys is Nick or one of the "ExCo" (eyeroll).

Haha this must be nick or one of his friends.
Understaffed and over worked coworkers while taking in a cool $40mill. You won't get sympathy from actual frontier employees. Check the pulse survey results lol

Guys - there's no escaping the fact that Frontier has been broken for years, we all know that. So it has to change and I for one am encouraged by the latest results. Yes it means some lose their jobs because the company has too many people. But that's going to happen if we're successful and have a future, or frankly, if we're not - in which case no one has a job. Which future would you choose?

Be patient. These things take time. Just ask Maggie; this has been in the works since Verizon offloaded it's landlines to Frontier in some shady backdoor deal.

This whole thing has been a way for multiple executives over the years to get a big ole' exit bonus they did not deserve. Why stop the fun now?
