The clueless analysts promoting this JV theory with TSMC...it is so far fetched that it is not even funny. There is not a chance that TSMC agrees to transfer know-how and collaborate with Intel. There is simply no ROI in it for them. Saw another report today which says Intel 18A is doing fine and better than N2. LMAOOOOOO

@av TSMC can just pass the tariff to the fabless. There is no realistic alternative to them in the foundry space.
It would be the best for Intel too, especially for the employees. The culture shock, both social and corporate, would be painful. Everything would fail bitterly sooner or later.

I agree with you. What company in there right mind would help their rival become stronger and get a foot hold in the business they dominate? How do they come up with stories like this. Maybe since Nvidia is going gang busters with Blackwell they will give Intel some of their lesser AI products to play with?
Intel people has no moral. It is a shame to break other competitor without fair competition.

What if Trump forces TSMC to collaborate with Intel or else 25% tariffs? The margins would go down enough for TSMC to reconsider. If they can pull it off, not a bad move. Better than doing nothing….
