Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

New role, am I being lowballed

I live in Omaha and was offered a position as a project manager (non technical) at 75k a year?? Is that the average for a PMO?? I thought it’d be higher I wanna know if I’m being lowballed …. And how I can negotiate my salary…

Median PM salary is $98k across US. Omaha median PM salary is $81,100.

If you're over the age if 35 they are low balling you. If its your first experience as PMO ask for 80 or 85. I doubt you get it as the role is non technical.

When considering median wage for the position think about how fu--ing old the average fiserv worker is and why they may command a higher wage than you. (Assuming you are in the younger side). It's all about stepping stones friend.

Just say it was a little lower than I was expecting and then talk about value see what they counter with. Usually there is some negotiation room

Non-technical role, PM, Omaha. 75k looks alright.

yes that’s very low if your an external candidate (couldn’t tell from your post) you do not want to work here at all. read some of the posts to see why. its beyond bad and no signs of improving.
