I yearn for the resignation of managers and directors who have been in their roles for over 20 years. Personally, I've never felt inclined to remain at a single company for such an extended period. Beyond the comfort and the intense need for stability, I see little benefit. These individuals, in my view, contribute to a stagnant, aging empire. They demand unwavering loyalty from their subordinates while only mastering repetitive tasks day in and day out. When one's focus shifts more toward their fashion choices and designer suits and stock options, rather than their daily responsibilities, it’s evident they have grown too comfortable. It’s high time for a breath of fresh air—a time to retire. Ultimately, they wouldn't be capable of pushing beyond their limits anyway and would scream ageism on their way out. And if you need a note because you can't drive at night in the dark then you're in the wrong business.

Wow, that's rich. Must of took you days to come up with that concept. Work much?
We are told by our Indian leaders to innovate....whatever that means. THey don't seem to know but we're supposed to know. Where are the POs
Some old folks with 20+ years at Dell are horrible wastes of space and sometimes the college grad that is all bright and shiny is also a waste of space. For sure there are complacent folks who are just collecting a paycheck but they come in every age and time in service group.
Today's dell is TOXIC. Nothing to be proud of. Everyone who is still having a job after 10-20 yrs is there because at somepoint you played politics and pushed out a qualified employee .. dell's environment is dog-eat-dog environment.
I’ve been with EMC/Dell for more than 20 years. How did I do it? By always seeking out new products and services as a change of pace, college on the company, and friendly and challenging colleagues.
That being said, since I’m about 20 minutes from retirement I won’t miss it. Ageism is keeping me from joining an AI project, my interesting colleagues are being let go and they will only pay a fraction toward a PhD.
Nothings screams mid more than being at dell 10-20y
