Did anyone see on insite this morning the inventory survey? What are thoughts about the 5.00 an hour incentive to get people to work those days and hours? My store people are really thinking about doing all the days so they don’t have to be on the sales floor

I didn't see this or read any star memo--is it only certain stores?
Macy*s does hire RGIS for location's based on size and volume. One issue is that some of those workers work 24-36 hours straight. Then others fight, steal or sleep but not necessarily in that order.
@uep. When I was with RGIS we did do inventory in some Macy's.
Take a look at the fine print. Looks like employees will only get paid the extra $5 from midnight until the wee hours of the morning, NOT their entire shift. Does anyone remember the first Thanksgiving that Macy's was open? The extra pay was only for hours worked ON Thanksgiving- not the hours that technically were Black Friday hours which began Thursday at midnight. Only do the hours if the extra money is worth the damage to your mental and physical health. This inventory will be bad. Bad with a capital "B".
Macy's DOES hire outside companies to do the inventory take in many locations.
Where exactly is this survey? It is not on Insite. Our store has said nothing about it.

According to the explanation it 5.00 bonus every hour plus your normal hourly rate. Inventory usually goes over the schedule hours . Macys doesn’t hire outside people it’s all colleagues in the building that usually ask or schedule
Occasionally (depending upon the pre-inventory and the number of colleagues working inventory) inventory runs into OT situations. Is the incentive treated like a bonus, or does it affect the OT calculation? Does it affect the base rate? Are they hiring people specifically for the inventory?
