The Citrix “Thank you day” of 28th October is back at some countries in Europe👍

The thank-you days are definitely not a defined benefit, and weren't going to go on forever. In the US you usually get 10-11 defined holidays plus PTO. Anything else is pretty much an optional bonus.
Vista is stupid for pulling the one this week, and at a fairly late date. A lot of people do go away on a 3-day weekend, so some plans were certainly scrapped because of it. Otherwise though, they're not benefit-defined days, so you don't have an recourse.
Yeah in most countries you can’t just take a benefit away; which is what the thank you day is.
It's still on if you want it to be on. Here's how I'm keeping it on the 28th: I won't be there. No one will notice anyway. I'll consider myself thanked.
what countries?
Who put this guy in charge of a global company who has zero global regard for employment law? Guess he thought he knew it all already and cut the people who actually had a clue.
